Resource Management Reform

What does the Government's reform of the Resource Management Act (RMA) mean for our members and small businesses? They are currently calling for submissions to the Environment Committee on the National and Built Environment (NBE) Bill and Spatial Planning (SP) Bill which close on 5 February 2023.

We invite you to our Resource Management Act (RMA) reform overview and Q&A breakfast webinar (via Zoom), which will be presented by Maree Baker-Galloway – Partner, Anderson Lloyd. Maree specialises in environmental and planning law, specifically the Resource Management Act 1991, Conservation Act 1987 and related legislation, and she will focus on what these reforms mean for businesses, including:

  • Breaking down the complexity of the lengthy draft Bills
  • Providing a general overview of the major changes and processes
  • Look at the proposed implementation and transition of the new system

For more information about the RMA please visit the Ministry for the Environment website here.

This webinar will also include a Q&A session. Please send us any specific questions you have to: advocacy@business-south.org.nz
