My Next Move is all about supporting rangatahi as they navigate the journey toward their future. Through dynamic collaborations with schools and communities, it creates opportunities for young people to engage with industries, ideas, and experiences that broaden their understanding of what’s out there.
At its heart, My Next Move helps students build meaningful connections to career pathways, people, and possibilities that can shape their future in exciting and unexpected ways.

Events we hold
Pathway Leadership Breakfast
Pathways Leadership Breakfast: is an event designed to connect high school teachers with local industries and employers, emphasizing NELP 4. It focuses on building awareness of the career pathways available to students and strengthening collaboration between educators and organizations. The goal is to support teachers in guiding students toward meaningful employment opportunities within their communities.
My Next Move Speedmeet
Speedmeet is an in-person event that connects Year 10 and 11 students with role models from diverse industries to explore various career paths. The event focuses on career exploration, helping students learn more about the choices available to them through direct, engaging conversations.
Inspiring the Future
Inspiring the Future events are free, in-person sessions co-organized with schools, featuring 4–8 role models. We invite role models and use printed classroom activity packs. During the event, students guess the role models’ jobs and engage in discussions about their careers, with support provided as needed.
